WCNS members play major role at NH Coin Expo/NENA Conventions

Members of the WCNS, on a continuing basis, play a key role in a number of activities at the New Hampshire Coin Expo.

  • For several years, on Saturday, WCNS members Jack Haroian and Jack Kiley led the John Kittredge Young Numismatist Program, sponsored by NENA and the Kittredge Foundation. This FREE program was for all young numismatists and allowed the kids to take away many coins and other souvenirs as well as learn a little about the hobby. There is always a good crowd on hand for the YN sessions, and this is important for the future of our hobby.

  • Also, co-President John Frost presented an educational session entitled Collecting Patterns. The talk included a hands-on exhibit of numerous patterns.

Club members also assisted with the NENA Exhibits.

WCNS at the 2010 ANA in Boston

The Worcester County Numismatic Society played a key role when the ANA was in Boston. One of the co-host clubs, the WCNS provided greeters, the co-Chair for the Collector Exhibits, and a speaker in the Numismatic Theatre. In addition, one of our members won first place in the Collector Exhibits, Class 1, U.S. Coins. Below are some snapshots from the show.
