Welcome.
This is the website of the Worcester County Numismatic Society in Central Massachusetts.
The WCNS is a not-for-profit coin club, and all are welcome. We have members from all over Massachusetts, and nearby in Connecticut.
We hold 10 regular meetings per year. Our members run the entire spectrum from the casual collector to the serious collector,
of U.S., Foreign, and Ancient coins, plus currency as well.
We also have an excellent Young Numismatists (YN) program. Please join us for a meeting and check us out! |

WCNS members play major role at NH Coin Expo/NENA Convention

Members of the WCNS were key in a number of activities at the New Hampshire Coin Expo in July.
On Saturday the 30th, Club members Jack Haroian and Jack Kiley led the John Kittredge Young Numismatist Program, sponsored by NENA and the Kittredge Foundation.
This FREE program was for all young numismatists and allowed the kids to take away many coins and other souvenirs as well as learn a little about the hobby. There was quite a good crowd on hand for the YN session, and this is important for the future of our hobby.
Also, on Saturday, co-President John Frost presented an educational session entitled Collecting Patterns. The talk included a hands-on exhibit of numerous patterns.

Club members also assisted with the NENA Exhibits.

The ANA World's Fair of Money was held in Boston in August, and the WCNS had a major role in the show. In addition to providing greeters to welcome attendees to the show and handing out information packets, WCNS members gave presentations in the Numismatic Theater, exhibited, and also co-chaired the Collector Exhibits.
